I went to the mall this past weekend, and with every store I went into, I found myself leaving with little. I know the clothes I like – the look I want, but no one seems to sell it. After much scavenging, I found a few pieces I really liked, but it took effort. So I thought – where are all of the delicate, feminine pieces that I want in my wardrobe?

Sure, I may not live in the most fashion-savy area of the country. A lot of the best feminine boutique options are not around me, but there is one online boutique that I keep revisiting time after time. Morning Lavender has affordable, delicate clothing options and girly accessories. It’s the best I’ve found.

My favorite section is the skirts, because I think those are the hardest to come by. They have flowing maxi skirts (like the one shown above), midi skirts, and delicate tulle skirts.

The easiest way to stay up to date on their new arrivals and upcoming collections is through following along on Instagram! No peer pressure but for all you ladies suffering from the same problem as I am, I thought I would share my knowledge with you.

If I am at the mall, my favorite shop is LOFT. Between their soft colors and beaded necklines, they fit the bill for my girly closet.

Where do you find your feminine fashion?

I love this type of fashion too. Thanks for the suggestion to check out Morning Lavender.

  • I have the same issues! Although my style is like feminine and casual so there’s more options for me. But I find really cute things in second hand shops. I love thrift stores because not only is it so affordable, but you find older clothes there. Some are really gems in need of some TLC. Like I bought a dress that was like 3 sizes larger than me. But I went home and made it my own. I love little projects like that though, idk about you

No problem, Abbie! Thanks for stopping by :)

Tiffany, that sounds like so much fun! I have no experience with sewing or anything like that, so I don’t know if it would turn out well for me, but the concept is great! If you ever write a blog post on one of your projects, I’d love to check it out.

I definitely have the same problem! Thanks for the suggestions!

No problem, Kelly! Where are some of your favorite places to shop?

  • So I just realized you replied to this! Sorry :) Well, if you’re still interested, I love Modcloth, although I miss being able to try clothes on. Francesca’s is another store that I’m obsessed with. And then, there’s a local thrift store back home that is almost entirely filled with donations from Mennonite households so I can find some really fun long skirts there. The kind that graze your ankles and make you feel like your floating. Shabby Apple is another place I enjoy looking at, but can’t afford yet.
