It has been a long time since my last ‘currently’ post, but I wanted to jump back into it this month, because just as much as I love to use my little corner of the internet to inspire you all, I also love to use it to document my life and all of my great memories. So here it is… What I’m currently up to!
Cooking pasta. Anytime I have friends coming to stay at my apartment for the weekend, I ask them what they want me to make them for dinner. Oddly enough… It’s always pasta. Which is fine by me, because I rarely cook pasta just for myself, so it’s a nice little carb-loaded splurge when my friends are here, and the recipes are simple and easy to make in bulk. Some of the recent recipes I’ve made are Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta (but cut back tremendously on the butter) and Spicy Shrimp Pasta in Garlic Tomato Cream Sauce.
Planning life after college. As much as I love to live in the moment and focus on today, it has been kind of essential lately that I start to think about how I want my life to unfold and what I want my days to look like post-grad, whether it be finding myself a 9 to 5 or taking the jump into freelance.
Smelling my fresh salted caramel candle from Yankee Candle. Thank you Target for putting this on display at the end of one of the home goods aisles and for letting me find it. This scent is so perfect!
Appreciating these last few days of beautiful weather. Here in Illinois it went from 50s last week to 70s this week. I love the holiday season, but I can never wrap my head around looking forward to the freezing weather. Let the fall weather stay!
Anticipating Thanksgiving break. Midterms are still going strong over here, and a little R&R is much needed. I’m just looking forward spending some quality time with my family, seeing Ty and catching up on a few projects that have had to be pushed to the side in past months. Who doesn’t love a little vacation?
What have you been up to lately? Love getting little sneak peeks into my life? Follow along with me on snapchat at aliinbloom, where I post little snippets of what I’m up to all the time! And last but not least, a huge thank you to Jenna and Anne for hosting this linkup.
